The DenOptix line of storage phosphor imaging systems was developed to replace film in dental radiography.

The DenOptix system uses reusable phosphor imaging plates to capture the images. Exposed imaging plates of various sizes can be loaded into a convenient carousel for scanning. The resulting digital images are then transferred to a digital image display and viewing system, with the final images displayed on a computer screen.  

DenOptix scanners are available in a wide variety of models to accommodate the needs of general dentists as well as specialists such as orthodontists and oral surgeons.

DenOptix has achieved a superb quality record, with fewer than 2% of the thousands of systems in use requiring service.
